Since 2015, the brand has been owned by an English group, which evokes the heritage of the prestigious past, even in the absence of the slightest filiation. Cameras manufactured by this owner are digital.
On the website of the new brand, we can read
Unfortunately, if you placed your order before December 2015 your warranty is no longer valid. Your product was manufactured by the previous owners of PRAKTICA and they have seized production.
C'est un petit compact très basique et tout en plastique.
En façade, un curseur découvre l'objectif, met l'appareil sous tension et débloque le déclencheur. Un curseur situé sous le flash, permet d'utiliser ce dernier en fill-in. Au dos, une petite fenêtre laisse paraître la pellicule à l'intérieur de l'appareil et son type. Sur le côté gauche du viseur, une diode verte "Flash ready" et une rouge "Low light" avertissent le photographe (en herbe...)
A l'intérieur, seuls deux plots sur douze correspondant au codage DX sont présents, laissant supposer que l'appareil n'accepte que deux types de pellicules, sans doute 200 et 400 ISO.
Sur la semelle, un bouton de rembobinage motorisé mais non automatique en fin de film. Nul n'est à l'abri d'une ouverture intempestive du boîtier qui entraînerait la perte du film.
